Programme Overview
The tourism industry is changing profoundly: demand is evolving rapidly, new technologies are increasingly spreading through traveller, and the challenges of sustainability are becoming ever more pressing. The advent of the pandemic has finally swept away old ways of thinking about tourism strategies, making changes in customer needs even more changeable.
The strong discontinuity and constant change that will accompany the entire tourism sector over the next decade makes it increasingly necessary to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, which will enable one to better navigate and manage the new challenges of the sector.
The Masterlab in Entrepreneurship for Travel & Hospitality aims to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of the tourism business and support them in developing an entrepreneurial mindset and skills, through a path of real acceleration of their own business idea.
Course Programme
The Masterlab for Entrepreneurship in Travel & Hospitality is a programme entirely aimed at training a modern entrepreneur in the Travel & Hospitality sector, based on the “learning through action” methodology.
The first term will be dedicated to training in the Hospitality sector, aimed at deepening the current changes, critical issues and development opportunities, with a particular focus on the concepts of innovation, entrepreneurship and digitalisation. The second part will focus on a pre-acceleration programme that will allow students to transform their business ideas into a success story in the Travel & Hospitality sector by taking advantage of H-FARM’s decades of experience in startup acceleration.
The first part (6 weeks) includes a full immersion in the tourism sector. Following the approach of the Italian School of Hospitality, the first hotel-school in Italy, top managers, professors and startuppers will explore the new needs and changes taking place, the criticalities as well as the opportunities, from their different points of view the sector
The second part (12 weeks) will focus on a pre-acceleration programme that will allow students to transform their business ideas into success stories in the Travel & Hospitality sector, taking advantage of H-FARM’s decade-long experience in startup acceleration.

Location
TERM 1
The lessons of term 1 will take place simultaneously in 2 different locations, in Rome and Lazise:
TH Hotel Parchi del Garda – Lazise (VR)
A few steps from Lake Garda, a park hotel with two souls: one dedicated to holidays, the other to business and events. In a strategic position and junction for the lake area, it has more than 230 rooms and 9 conference rooms dedicated to training and corporate events.
TH Roma Carpegna Palace Hotel – Rome (RM)
The historic headquarters of Catholic Action, now converted into a prestigious tourist facility. The TH Domus Mariae, hotel on the Via Aurelia in Rome, has more than 200 rooms and a conference room for 500 people.
TERM 2
H-FARM Campus – Roncade (TV)
H-Farm Campus is the place where students, young startuppers, professors, entrepreneurs and managers work together, immersed in a stimulating and digital environment. The campus has recently been renovated and enlarged: this new expansion includes the construction of multiple buildings, for a total of 42,000 square metres within a 51-hectare park. The campus now has space for up to 3,000 people, 2,000 of whom are students, including sports fields, event spaces, bars, restaurants, dormitories, and a large library, designed by architect Richard Rogers.
The campus is located in the heart of the Fiume Sile nature park, at the Ca’ Tron site, one of the largest estates in Italy, bordering the Venetian lagoon. The location is strategic: it is only 12 km from Venice Marco Polo airport, 20 km from Treviso and 50 km from Padua.

The course is ideal for those who want to set up an entrepreneurial project in the tourism sector and at the same time want to fully understand the dynamics of the sector:
- For those who work in a company in the tourism sector and want to bring about change from within, to adapt to new challenges or support the company in the digital transformation underway.
- For those who want to bring a new entrepreneurial spirit within the company and develop a new business idea.
- For those who want to remain competitive in an increasingly interdisciplinary and changing business environment. Learn and develop a new entrepreneurial mindset to adapt, remaining resilient in the face of constantly changing organisational environments.
Career Opportunities
Students have excellent career prospects in a wide range of positions as innovation managers and business developers within medium to large companies in the Travel & Hospitality sector, supporting different departments in the digital and technological transition.
Students also have the possibility to carry out their own business idea, born and started during the Master.
The MasterLab also collaborates with various industrial partners in the Travel & Hospitality sector and “innovation enablers” (i.e. start-up incubators and accelerators) to actively support students in their specific career paths.

The Masterlab in Entrepreneurship for Travel & Hospitality is developed and delivered in partnership with H-Farm College, a place of innovation that offers methods and educational paths that allow students to deepen their knowledge in the field of digital economy.
H-FARM College is the institute for undergraduate and postgraduate education of H-FARM, one of the most important innovation platforms in Europe. Founded in 2005 as a startup accelerator, H-FARM was one of the first companies to adopt a model that combines investment, business consulting and management training in a single campus, an ideal context for integrating innovation, the digital world and new technologies into the educational process.
Admissions
To apply, you need to fill in the application form with your personal data, you will be asked to upload your CV and answer some motivational questions.
The Commission of Scuola Italiana di Ospitalità and H-Farm College will evaluate the application on the basis of the curriculum, previous experiences and the candidate’s motivation.
The outcome will be communicated after one week, together with the application form.
Applications are open until 15 January 2022.
Fees and Funding Fees
The Masterlab in Entrepreneurship for Travel & Hospitality has an enrolment fee of 12.500,00 Euro + VAT.
Super Early Bird Fee: those who apply by 30 October 2021 will receive a 15% discount, the fee to be paid will therefore be € 10,625 + VAT.Payment
The registration fee can be paid in one instalment by February 2022 or in two instalments in February and April 2022.
FINANCING
BNL – Financing “Futuriamo”: The BNL Futuriamo financing provides a one-off payment, with the possibility of postponing the repayment of the capital for up to 36 months from the payment. All information is available on the dedicated web page.
