Argo
Argo, is the Traveltech accelerator of the CDP National Network, develop by CDP Venture Capital together with the Ministry of Tourism and established in Venice. The accelerator is managed by LVenture and VeniSIA (Ca’ Foscari University Venice) and is supported by corporate partners Intesa Sanpaolo, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Human Company and the technical partner Scuola Italiana di Ospitalità.
The goal of ARGO is to assist and launch about 30 startups in the tourism and hospitality sectors over the next three years to accelerate the digital transition and sustainability of a crucial sector for the Italian economy.
2022 Edition
From the “Telepass” for tracking the entry and exit of boats from ports to a platform dedicated to sports adventure guides, via an Uber-style private air transportation service that makes flying cheaper, to a platform that allows people to choose outdoor experiences in direct contact with nature: these are the seven innovative solutions developed by the startups selected for the first edition of Argo. The startups received pre-seed investment from CDP Venture Capital and LVenture Group, and five of them received an additional grant provided by the Ministry of Tourism.

Smartway
A platform that enables companies to manage off-site for employees in iconic hamlets, with the goal of combining increased team productivity and local development while maximizing social impact.
Ulisses
Management software that allows to track entries and exits from ports, simplifying bureaucracy and solving problems related to the census of boaters.
Skycab
Platform that allows to book private flights for medium and small distances, even those not covered by scheduled flights, with costs 10 times lower.
Mapotapo
Web platform where certified sports adventure guides can digitize their operations and collect and manage bookings.
Tela
Vertical management software in the cultural sector that enables the integration of all museum management operations in a single platform.
WeforGuest
All-inclusive software for managing Hospitality-related services such as CRM, workflow automation and management, loyalty and revenue management programs.
Friland
Online platform offering accommodation solutions and local experiences in nature-based places.

Overview del programma
Argo è l’acceleratore per startup e PMI innovative che sviluppano soluzioni o servizi per il Turismo e l’Ospitalità, realizzato da CDP Venture Capital e tra i partner la Scuola Italiana di Ospitalità
La Scuola Italiana di Ospitalità fa parte del progetto come partner tecnico con funzione di supporto sia al sourcing e alla selezione delle startup da accelerare che di formazione su tutte quelle tematiche inerenti il settore hospitality and tourism di cui le aziende in accelerazione avranno bisogno.
Con una dotazione complessiva di 4,5 milioni di euro, Argo ha l’obiettivo di individuare e selezionare le più promettenti startup traveltech italiane o internazionali che intendano aprire una sede operativa sul mercato locale, con particolare riferimento ai settori del turismo d’affari, culturale, religioso e di studio, dei viaggi organizzati, delle esperienze open-air, dell’enogastronomia, dello sport e del benessere.
Argo selezionerà per i prossimi tre anni circa 10 startup ogni anno, che riceveranno un investimento ‘pre-seed’ di circa 75mila euro e potranno accedere a successivi finanziamenti post accelerazione. Il Ministero del Turismo, inoltre, potrà sostenere ulteriormente le startup selezionate con un eventuale contributo a fondo perduto di 25mila euro.
Programma del corso
Il programma di Accelerazione di Argo fornisce alle startup un supporto attraverso diverse iniziative e servizi:
a) Postazioni di co-working accessibili per 5 mesi per un massimo di 4 persone presso gli spazi di VeniSIA a Venezia;
b) Perks fino a 2 milioni di euro (Cloud, Sistemi di pagamento, CRM, ecc.);
c) Supporto del team di accelerazione di Argo su vari aspetti (project e product management, legal & accounting, sales & fundraising, PR & communication, talent management and acquisition);
d) Workshop ad hoc pianificati in base alla fase di sviluppo della startup;
e) Incontri settimanali one-to-one con professionisti UX/UI, Tech e Marketing;
f) Mentoring da parte di consulenti qualificati sui principali aspetti dello sviluppo della startup;
g) Supporto del team di investimenti di Argo che aiuterà e seguirà le startup fino al primo round (serie A).
Partners
Argo è nato su iniziativa di CDP Venture Capital insieme al Ministero del Turismo.
Il programma triennale è gestito da LVenture Group e VeniSIA (Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia), con il contributo del partner tecnico Scuola Italiana di Ospitalità, dei main partner Intesa Sanpaolo e Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center e il supporto del Corporate Partner Human Company.
Ambiti di interesse
Ai fini della selezione, sono valutate con particolare interesse quelle tecnologie abilitanti come software CRM e di Data Intelligence, app web e mobile e sistemi di digital commerce.
L’acceleratore avrà sede a Venezia.
